Former Narcotics Chief (Kasatresnarkoba) of Bima Police Precinct AKP Malaungi, together with five other suspects, has been transported to Jakarta. They were brought to Jakarta to undergo questioning in a narcotics case involving former Bima Police Chief (Kapolres) AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.

In addition to AKP Malaungi, the five other suspects who were borrowed for investigation are: Irfan, Herman, Yusril Ismahendra, Anita, and Ais Setiawati. They were flown from Lombok International Airport (BIL) at approximately 11.00 Central Indonesia Time (WITA) under the escort of 13 personnel from the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB).

“This will make everything clearer. The respective roles of each person will become clearer. The Criminal Investigation Directorate and the NTB Regional Police will investigate this further,” said West Nusa Tenggara Police Chief (Kapolda) Irjen Edy Murbowo, as reported by detikBali on Friday (27 February 2026).

AKP Malaungi and the others were transported to Jakarta for further investigation following the arrest of drug trafficker Erwin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin. Ko Erwin is the person who provided Malaungi with approximately 488 grams of methamphetamine for distribution to Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Malaungi has been designated as a suspect in the narcotics trafficking case. The case has also implicated former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Kuncoro. Investigation results revealed the involvement of a trafficker named Ko Erwin.

Ko Erwin is alleged to have given 1 billion rupiah to Didik Putra Kuncoro to facilitate his illegal business operations. Subsequently, Ko Erwin supplied 488 grams of methamphetamine to Malaungi for distribution to Sumbawa Island.

In addition to Ko Erwin, Didik is also alleged to have received 1.8 billion rupiah from another methamphetamine trafficker named Boy. Boy remains at large and is being pursued by police.

Previously, Ko Erwin was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim Polri) in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, on Thursday (26 February). Ko Erwin was arrested aboard a vessel whilst attempting to escape to Malaysia.
