Former Bima City Police Chief in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, has been officially detained at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) detention facility after being handed a Dishonourable Dismissal (PTDH) sanction during an ethics hearing held at National Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday (19 February).

"Starting today, Thursday, AKBP DPK has been placed in detention by the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate," said Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Director Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso in a written statement.

Eko Hadi stated that Didik has been named a suspect in drug abuse in this case.

Didik was found guilty of possessing a white suitcase containing narcotics at the residence of Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten. The suitcase contained drug evidence comprising 16.3 grammes of methamphetamine, 49 ecstasy tablets and 2 partially consumed tablets (23.5 grammes), 19 Alprazolam tablets, 2 Happy Five tablets, and 5 grammes of ketamine.

In addition, Didik has also been named a suspect for receiving proceeds from narcotics crimes by the NTB Regional Police on Monday (16 February).

Eko Hadi said that investigations revealed Malaungi had met with Koh Erwin, a drug dealer, along with AS, who served as the treasurer of the narcotics network.

During that meeting, Malaungi reportedly requested that Koh Erwin provide money to be handed over to Didik in his capacity as Police Chief.

"Upon further examination, AKP M revealed that he had been receiving money from the drug dealer from June to November 2025," he said.

He stated that most of the money was subsequently handed over to Didik as the direct superior of Malaungi, who served as Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police.

"The total amount of money handed over to AKBP DPK was Rp2.8 billion," he explained.

For his actions, Didik has been charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (2) or Article 137 Letter A of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.

"Carrying penalties of death, life imprisonment, or a maximum prison sentence of 20 years," said Eko Hadi.
