NATIONAL Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has carried out a transfer of AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro from his position as Bima City Police Chief. This action was taken following a decision by the Police Ethics Code Commission (KKEP) which imposed a penalty of Dishonourable Discharge (PTDH) against Didik concerning a case of drug abuse and sexual misconduct.

The transfer decision is contained in Police Chief Telegram Letter Number ST/440/2/KEP/2026 dated 27 February 2026. In the telegram, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro was transferred as a Middle-Ranking Officer for Headquarters Service (Pamen Yanma) of the National Police.

Head of Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Jhonny Edison Isir, confirmed that Didik’s placement at Yanma is standard procedure to complete the administrative process of his dismissal.

“Didik’s transfer to Yanma is to facilitate the administrative process of implementing his PTDH ethics commission decision which is still in progress,” said Jhonny when contacted on Saturday (28/2/2026).

Previously, Chief of the Police Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, revealed that Didik was proven to have committed serious violations. In the ethics hearing, it emerged that Didik requested and received money from drug dealers in the Bima area through the Head of Narcotics Investigation at Bima City Police, AKP Malaungi.

Besides the drug case, Didik was also found to have committed sexual deviation or immoral conduct.

“The KKEP hearing decision is an ethical sanction wherein the offender’s conduct is declared reprehensible, and an administrative sanction of Dishonourable Discharge (PTDH) as a member of the National Police,” asserted Trunoyudo at the TNCC Building of the National Police Headquarters on Thursday (19/2/2026).

For his actions, AKBP Didik was found to have violated several articles in Government Regulation Number 1 of 2003 concerning the Dismissal of National Police Members as well as Police Regulation Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Code of Ethics for the Police Profession. The violations committed encompassed personality ethics, institutional ethics, and abuse of authority in official duties.

Besides dismissal, Didik previously underwent special placement sanctions (patsus) at the Bureau of Internal Affairs Investigation Division for seven days in mid-February 2026. Trunoyudo stated that Didik has accepted the ethics hearing decision without filing an appeal.

This firm action, according to Trunoyudo, represents the Police institution’s commitment to taking action against members who tarnish the reputation of law enforcement, particularly those involved in illegal drug trafficking.

“This is a commitment and consistency in addressing every reprehensible act, especially amid the prevalence of drug cases involving police members,” he concluded.

The position of Bima City Police Chief is now officially filled by AKBP Mubiarto Banu Kristanto, who previously served as Head of Traffic Law Enforcement at the Regional Police Traffic Directorate of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
