Forensic Expert Finds Strangulation Marks on Neck in State-Owned Bank Branch Manager Death Case
JAKARTA - A forensic expert from the Kramat Jati Indonesian National Police Hospital, Asri Megaratri, stated that the death of the branch head (Kacab) of a state-owned bank, Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, was an unnatural death.
Asri appeared as an expert witness presented by the Military Auditor in a trial held at the Military Court II-08 in Cakung, East Jakarta, on Monday (11/5/2026).
In the case, three TNI members are involved, namely Serka Mochamad Nasir, Kopda Feri Herianto, and Serka Frengky Yaru.
She explained that during the examination, the body showed bruising and was still easily movable.
Asri also found evidence of blunt force violence (physical injury caused by impact or blows from blunt, hard, or flat objects) on the victim’s neck, which caused a loss of oxygen supply to the brain.
“So there are characteristic patterns on the skin of the neck, like nail marks, curved lines,” Asri stated.
She noted that these findings resemble strangulation marks found on Mohammad Ilham Pradipta’s body during the autopsy process.
Additionally, blunt object violence was found on the chest, causing broken ribs and bruising to the lungs, which accelerated the victim’s death.
Previously, the Jakarta Military Audit accused Serka Mochamad Nasir, Kopda Feri Herianto, and Serka Franky Yari in the premeditated murder case related to Mohammad Ilham Pradipta’s death at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta.
In addition to the main charge of premeditated murder, the military auditor also submitted subsidiary charges of ordinary murder to anticipate if the main charge is not proven in the trial.
“Article 338 of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 Paragraph 1 first of the Criminal Code jo Article 458 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code jo Article 20 letter d,” stated the Military Auditor.
“Article 333 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 Paragraph 1 first of the Criminal Code jo Article 451 jo Article 20 letter d of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code,” he said.
Specifically for the defendant Nasir, the military auditor added charges related to concealing the death.
“Article 181 of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 Paragraph 1 first of the Criminal Code jo Article 270 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code jo Article 20 letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code,” he said.
