Foreign Tourists Keen to Reside in IKN
Buildings in IKN feature an environmentally friendly concept and feel unlike being in Kalimantan, deserving admiration and hopefully continuing to develop without falling behind cities on Java Island.
Penajam Paser Utara (ANTARA) - One foreign tourist from Taiwan, Snow, wishes to live in the Nusantara Capital (IKN), Indonesia’s new state capital being built in parts of Penajam Paser Utara Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province.
“IKN will become the state capital, and I really want to move and settle in IKN once it truly becomes the state capital,” said Snow on Wednesday, when asked for her impressions of IKN in Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara.
Snow expressed her admiration for IKN and hopes one day to reside in the state capital, during her visit to IKN, which was opened to the general public during Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah and throughout the 2026 Lebaran holiday period.
Other visitors also gave appreciation for the IKN development, one of them Florensia, a resident of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan Province, admitted to being impressed with the sustainable development concept in Indonesia’s new state capital.
To date, the IKN Authority has recorded the number of vehicles entering the IKN area reaching 30,544 vehicles with 143,126 visitors.
“The available facilities ensure that the public can enjoy their visit to IKN comfortably, safely, and memorably,” explained Special Staff to the Head of the IKN Authority for Public Communication and also IKN Authority Spokesperson Troy Pantouw.
The IKN area continues to be equipped with various complete and comfortable facilities for the visiting public, he said again, with a variety of attractive facilities and activities available to provide an enjoyable and informative experience for visitors.
