Foreign tourists enjoy local food

SEMARANG, Central Java: At least 200 foreign tourists from
Germany, France and Switzerland enjoyed Indonesian traditional
food at the 1997 Indonesian Food Bazaar here yesterday.

Head of the Central Java Tourism Office Rokhani Irawan said
several tourists expressed their interest in "bird nest" food.
The dish is made from fried corn, beef and egg, Antara reported.

The bazaar was held to attract more tourists to the province.
From January to September, about 11,000 foreign tourists visited
