Deputy Interior Minister Ribka Haluk has called on the Papua Provincial Government to strengthen synergy with the central government. The aim is to ensure the success of the Asta Cita programme championed by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Such support is deemed essential to accelerate development towards Golden Indonesia 2045. The request was made by Ribka while attending the Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan (Musrenbang) for the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) and Special Autonomy (Otsus) of Papua Province for 2027, held virtually from Jakarta on Thursday (30/4). “All visions conveyed by the President and Vice President are to become an integrated programme reaching the remotest parts of Indonesia,” said Ribka. She explained that Asta Cita is designed to hasten the achievement of Golden Indonesia 2045 targets, including through strengthening the national economy. Based on various projections, Indonesia is expected to record significant economic growth and become one of the global economic powerhouses in the future. In line with this, the government continues to maintain economic growth stability through inflation control and commodity prices of basic necessities. These efforts are carried out consistently through cross-ministerial and institutional coordination. “The Interior Minister is implementing several programmes to measure inflation rates, poverty, Human Development Index, and so on. This is how the government ensures we reach our targets,” she added. On the other hand, enhancing human resource capacity is also being optimised through various priority programmes, such as Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), People’s Schools, and Garuda Elite Schools. These programmes are hoped to produce superior generations ready to compete globally. “The Garuda Schools, I see that the President has already launched them to prepare our best human resources, with the quality of the nation’s children also being sent to universities abroad,” Ribka continued. In closing her remarks, Ribka hopes that the Papua Provincial Government can optimise the implementation of national priority programmes to deliver tangible impacts on community welfare. “Our hope is that friends in Papua, especially the Papua Provincial Government, can maximise all human resource potential and other potentials to improve welfare, realising a brighter Papua,” she said.
