Focus on Opening Up Land Access to Accelerate the 3 Million Houses Programme, Deprindo Collaborates with Land Bank
Land availability remains a primary challenge in accelerating national housing development. To address this issue, the Indonesian Property Developers Association (Deprindo) has forged a strategic partnership with the Land Bank Agency to support the construction of 3 million houses. The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a memorandum of understanding in Jakarta on Monday (11/5/2026), attended by Deprindo executives, Land Bank Agency leaders, property industry players, and key stakeholders in the housing sector. Deprindo Chairman Jarot Warjito stated that the partnership represents a concrete step in strengthening the supply of legal, affordable, and ready-to-develop land for public housing needs. “This collaboration is not merely an administrative ceremony but a tangible form of synergy in supporting the national housing development agenda, particularly the 3 million houses programme,” Jarot remarked. According to him, the housing sector’s challenges extend beyond financing to include limitations on land that developers can immediately utilise. “Therefore, the Land Bank Agency is seen as having a strategic position in creating a more planned and sustainable housing development ecosystem,” he added. During the event, a land utilisation agreement in Limbangan, Kendal, was also signed by the President Director of PT Sedaya Cipta Graha, Chrysanthus Wawan Edy Wibowo. This step is described as a swift follow-up to the synergy between the developers’ association and the Land Bank Agency in opening opportunities for housing estate development in the regions.
