Hundreds of neighbourhood units (RT) and road segments were submerged by flooding across Jakarta as of 18:00 Western Indonesian Time on Friday, 20 February 2026. The flooding spread after heavy rain battered Jakarta and its surrounding areas since morning, causing several rivers to overflow at various points.

Head of the Disaster Data and Information Centre at the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mohamad Yohan, said the affected areas were spread across West Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta. "Currently there are 127 neighbourhood units and 6 road segments inundated," he said in an official statement on Friday, 20 February 2026.

In West Jakarta, flooding occurred in 33 neighbourhood units. The breakdown includes 11 units in Kedaung Kali Angke with water levels of 30–80 centimetres due to the overflow of the Angke River; 11 units in Rawa Buaya at 30–70 centimetres; 1 unit in Kebon Jeruk at 40 centimetres; 5 units in Kedoya Selatan at 80 centimetres; 3 units in Kembangan Selatan at 40 centimetres due to the overflow of the Pesanggrahan River; and 2 units in Kembangan Utara at 40 centimetres.
