Flashback to the Sexual Assault Case of Former Ngada Police Chief Leading to a 19-Year Prison Sentence
The Supreme Court has officially rejected the cassation petition of former Ngada Police Chief AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja in the sexual assault case involving three minors. “Reject the public prosecutor’s and defendant’s cassation,” as quoted from the official MA website on Friday (17/4/2026). The panel of Supreme Court judges has upheld the verdict from the previous instance, and Fajar remains sentenced to 19 years in prison. “Imprisonment for 19 years,” the decision’s ruling states. Thus, the 19-year prison sentence imposed on Fajar has become final and binding (inkracht van gewijsde). Fajar will serve his time in prison for his despicable acts of defiling minors while still serving as a law enforcement officer. Here is a flashback of the criminal sexual assault incident committed by Fajar. The case began with the discovery of obscene videos on an Australian pornography site in mid-2024. This information came to light after Australian authorities traced the origin of content featuring minors, including a three-year-old child. According to Kompas.id, the upload location of the pornographic content was detected in Kupang. Australian authorities then coordinated with relevant Indonesian officials, who subsequently reported the findings to the National Police (Polri).
