Workers arrange 12 kg LPG cylinders at an LPG depot in the Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta, on Monday (20/4/2026). PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has officially increased the price of non-subsidised Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) effective from 18 April 2026. The price of the 5.5 kg cylinder at official Pertamina agents has now risen by Rp17,000 to Rp107,000 per cylinder, while the 12 kg cylinder is now Rp228,000, an increase of Rp36,000 from the previous price. This increase in non-subsidised LPG prices is the first since the last adjustment in 2023. Meanwhile, the price of the subsidised 3 kg LPG cylinder has not yet changed. Based on observations by CNBC Indonesia, in the Pal Merah area of West Jakarta, the highest price for the subsidised 3 kg LPG is Rp20,000 per cylinder. This is as stipulated by the highest retail price in that region. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, has guaranteed that the price of the subsidised 3 kg LPG will not rise. He also stated that stocks of the subsidised LPG are still maintained above the national minimum standard, namely above 10 days of operations.
