Fire destroys house in Kalibata
JAKARTA (JP): A two-story house on Jl. Warung Jati Timur, behind the Kalibata Mall, South Jakarta, was destroyed by a fire on Saturday night. No fatalities were reported.
South Jakarta's Fire Department concluded that the fire, which broke out at about 10:30 p.m., was caused by a short circuit, Antara reported on Sunday.
Some 20 fire fighters in six fire engines were deployed to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire within half an hour, preventing it from spreading to other houses.
The fire is believed to have caused hundreds of millions of rupiah in damage. (jun)
