Finance Minister Suahasil ensures State Budget data will be presented soon

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara has ensured that the realisation data for the State Budget (APBN) will be presented immediately after her inauguration.

As a note, the Ministry of Finance has not yet published the detailed APBN realisation for the July and August 2026 budget months. The last presentation regarding APBN performance was for the first semester of 2026.

“Regarding the APBN, we will hold an ALCo (Asset and Liability Committee) press conference as soon as possible,” Suahasil stated during a press conference at the Ministry of Finance office in Jakarta on Monday.

ALCo is a forum within the Ministry of Finance that discusses economic developments, the implementation of the APBN, state revenue and expenditure, as well as government financing and cash conditions. The results of the ALCo discussions serve as a basis for evaluating and formulating the government’s fiscal policy steps.

Suahasil stated that the reporting of the July and August APBN data will be presented with complete data so that the public can receive transparency in the management of the state budget.

The former Deputy Finance Minister noted that she would continue the work within the state treasurer’s institution to ensure the Ministry of Finance remains a credible institution.

“We will continue our respective work and make the Ministry of Finance a credible, trustworthy institution that is a source of pride for all the people of Indonesia,” she said.

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Suahasil Nazara as Finance Minister, replacing Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, in a ceremony at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.

Suahasil was appointed as the new Finance Minister as stipulated in Presidential Decree Number 97P of 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Finance Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet for the remainder of the 2024–2029 term, which was established on 14 September 2026 by President Prabowo Subianto.

Suahasil is the third Finance Minister in President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. The previous Finance Minister, Purbaya, was inaugurated on 8 September 2025 to replace Sri Mulyani.

Suahasil began her tenure as Deputy Finance Minister on 25 October 2019 in the Indonesia Maju Cabinet led by President Joko Widodo. She was subsequently re-appointed to the same position for the Red and White Cabinet led by President Prabowo Subianto for the 2024–2029 period on 21 October 2024.
