The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is strengthening academic governance and institutional management to enhance international competitiveness. The initiative was discussed during a consultation meeting held in Bogor from 20 to 22 May 2026.

The event was attended by FEB UIN Jakarta Dean Professor Ibnu Qizam, vice-deans, programme heads, and programme secretaries. The forum discussed the faculty’s development direction, including strengthening academic quality and higher education governance.

Professor Ibnu Qizam stated that current university competition requires institutions to adapt to global standards, making strengthened governance a key factor in enhancing institutional quality.

“The full attendance of vice-deans and programme representatives demonstrates the faculty’s strong commitment to formulating comprehensive strategic steps forward,” Ibnu Qizam said in a statement on Sunday (24 May 2026).

During the event, FEB UIN Jakarta hosted Amin Wibowo, Board of Directors for the MBA programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, who shared insights on managing UGM’s MBA programme, ranked 30th in Asia in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2026.

According to Amin, business school quality is not solely determined by academic achievements but also by consistent governance and sustainable quality systems. He cited factors affecting global reputation, including management autonomy, international accreditation, teaching quality, student selectivity, and alumni networks.

“Global accreditations like AACSB are not merely decorative certificates or marketing tools. They are operational disciplines that compel institutions to continuously measure, evaluate, and improve their quality,” Amin said.

Through the forum, FEB UIN Jakarta also discussed developing a more adaptive curriculum to technological changes and industry needs, part of efforts to strengthen graduate quality for national and international competitiveness.
