Tuti Hidayati, the parent of the victim who died in the accident at SDN Sukaratu 5, Sukaratu Village, Majasari Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency, remains enveloped in deep sorrow. Tuti admits she struggles to forget the moment of the accident that claimed her son, Muhamad Milal’s life.

“I am still in a state of mourning, still grieving,” said Tuti on Tuesday (5/5/2026).

Tuti’s grief is compounded because her second child is also experiencing trauma after witnessing the accident that befell his elder sibling. She states that her second child is also a student at SDN Sukaratu 5.

“After the incident, he witnessed the evacuation of his brother, it seems he’s traumatised and now thinks ‘I no longer have an elder brother’,” she said.

Tuti hopes that the perpetrator who hit her child and the other students will be processed in accordance with applicable legal regulations. Nevertheless, she is currently focusing on her child’s recovery and preparing for a week-long tahlilan (recitation of prayers for the deceased).

“It must be processed according to the applicable regulations, but sometimes the law in our country is like that. Yesterday the police suggested mediation, so I’m just focusing on the child first, the matter of the perpetrator can wait until I and the child recover,” she said.

Tuti then demands justice for losing her beloved son. Tuti hopes that the investigation of this case is conducted transparently.

“I hope for the fairest justice, at least he takes responsibility for his actions in whatever form. And the process shouldn’t be covered up; if mediation is to happen, it shouldn’t be hidden, the perpetrator is an official, I’m afraid it just disappears,” she said.

Tuti assesses that there is an element of negligence from the driver, Ahmad Mursidi, who is also the head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) in Pandeglang. Because, according to her, Ahmad Mursidi’s condition, who was ill, forced himself to drive the car, which ultimately resulted in loss of life.

“There must be negligence and an element of intent; he knew he was ill, but he forced himself to drive the car, and in the end endangered others,” she said.

It is known that in this case, a Toyota Innova vehicle with licence plate A-1633-BF driven by the Head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) of Pandeglang Regency, Ahmad Mursidi, collided with a crowd of SDN Sukaratu 5 students in Majasari Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency, on Thursday (30/4). The case has now escalated to investigation.

There were nine victims in the incident. Two others were reported dead, namely Dewi Handayani, a trader, and Muhamad Milal, a student.
