How is your fasting practice today? Do not miss the fasting break schedule for the Lombok region, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and surrounding areas today.
During the month of Ramadan, Muslims perform the fasting practice from dawn until sunset. Throughout the day, they abstain from eating, drinking, and various matters that could invalidate the fast.
Knowing the fasting schedule can serve as a reference for Muslims to determine the time for pre-dawn meal (sahur), breaking the fast (iftar), and performing the five daily prayers. In this way, the series of worship during Ramadan can take place in a more orderly, directed, and optimal manner.

Dua Upon Breaking the Fast
The time of breaking the fast is not merely about quenching thirst and hunger. Muslims are also encouraged to increase their prayers when breaking the fast.
Below are two prayers to recite when breaking the fast based on the explanation of Islamic scholar Ustaz Adi Hidayat in a video entitled ‘Regarding the Prayer Upon Breaking the Fast (Part 2)’ posted on YouTube.
First Version
“Dhahaba al-zhama’u wa abtallati al-’uruqu wa thabbata al-ajru insya’allah”
Meaning: “The thirst has gone, the veins have become moist, and by Allah’s will the reward has been established. God willing.” (Narrated by Abu Daud)
Second Version
“Allahumma laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa’alaa rizqika afthortu birahmatika ya arhamar-raohimiina”
Meaning: “O Allah, for You I fasted, in You I believed, to You I turn, and by Your provision I break my fast, with Your mercy, O Allah, the Most Merciful of the merciful.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim)
According to Ustaz Adi Hidayat’s explanation, the way to practise the prayer upon breaking the fast above is to combine them. Thus, the prayer “Dhahaba al-zhama’u” is recited as an opening, followed by the prayer “Allahumma laka shumtu”.
When is the appropriate time to recite the prayer upon breaking the fast? According to the Almanhaj website, the Prophet usually recited the prayer “Dhahaba al-zhama’u” after breaking the fast. This is also consistent with the meaning of the prayer upon breaking the fast, which is “The thirst has gone and the veins have become moist …”.
Thus, this is the information on the fasting break schedule for the Lombok Island region and surrounding areas. May it be beneficial!
