Fans sign support for shuttlers

JAKARTA (JP): The Badminton Care Society will collect
signatures from badminton fans on Sunday at 6 a.m. at the
ringroad outside Senayan Madya Stadium.

A release from the society said people would sign two banners
to help support shuttlers taking part in the Thomas and Uber
cups, and the Olympics.

Olympic executive training director and National Sports
Council vice chairman Arie Sudewo, Gelora Senayan executive board
chairman Yasidi Hambali and Badminton Association of Indonesia
chairman Subagyo Hadisiswoyo are expected to attend the event.

The banners will later be brought to Pajajaran Stadium in
Bogor where the national shuttlers will hold a simulation match
on April 27 at 5 p.m. as a warm-up for the Thomas and Uber cup
finals in Kuala Lumpur next month. (yan)
