Family Reveals Anomalies in Ermanto Usman's Death as Safe and Important Documents Remain Intact
Bekasi, Kompas.com – Fiandy A Putra (33), the eldest son of Ermanto Usman (65) and Pasmilawati (60), has revealed a number of irregularities in the case that killed his father and left his mother in a critical condition.
The bloody incident occurred at the family home in Prima Lingkar Asri Housing, Jatibening Village, Pondok Gede Sub-district, Bekasi City, on Monday (2 March 2026).
The family became suspicious after learning that the upstairs of the house had been declared sterile by police. Yet at the time of the incident, his sister Dinda Nada Alifah was asleep in the upstairs room.
“Yesterday it was checked by the police; the upstairs was sterile. My sister also locks the door every time she sleeps,” Putra told reporters on Tuesday (3 March 2026).
According to Putra, several important family documents remained intact and in a safe place. However, some items were reported missing.
“The important items that my family knows were not taken by the perpetrator. Even though the car keys were taken, what is the point if the car itself was not taken?” he said.
“When I checked, my mother was only wearing a necklace. The gold bracelet on her wrist was information from my younger sister, but when I watched the video, the bracelet was not there,” he added.
A similar discrepancy was raised by Ermanto’s elder brother, Dalsuf Usman. He said the victim’s safe at home was undamaged and untouched. “In fact, the safe was in an undamaged state and not touched. The cabinet was still neatly arranged. But the late husband and wife’s mobile phones were missing or taken by the perpetrator,” he said.
He also noted that the door to the victim’s room usually was not locked while sleeping. However, at the time of the incident, the keys were missing. “The suspicion is that it was locked by the perpetrator. The keys are now missing. And the house doors also appear to have no locks. He (the perpetrator) left through the window,” he said.
Putra also suspects that what happened to his family was not a robbery but murder.
In response to the brutal incident, Putra called for justice from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, so that the case is thoroughly investigated. “We, the family, appeal for justice to the Honourable Mr President so that our father’s case can be resolved and we know who the perpetrator is. Because in our view this points more to a murder case,” Putra said.
