A joint investigation by the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate continues to develop. In an operation related to three suspected corruption and money laundering (TPPU) cases, investigators raided at least eight different locations and seized various items of evidence of significant value. The searches, conducted on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, targeted not only Cafe de’CLAN Signature and Koin Money Changer in the Cipete area of South Jakarta, but also several other locations in the Pacific Place, Kuningan, Sudirman, and Bogor areas. Head of Kortastipidkor, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, explained that the searches were part of a joint investigation scheme with the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate to handle the corruption and money laundering cases. The searches were carried out simultaneously at eight points to fulfil the need for evidence in the investigation process. Metro Jaya Police spokesperson, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that most of the locations were in Jakarta, with around four to five points in South Jakarta, including Pacific Place, Kuningan, and Sudirman, with the operation extending to the Bogor area. In the course of the investigation, police also searched the home of a state official. However, the official’s identity and their connection to the case have not yet been disclosed. One notable discovery was a hidden safe at Cafe de’CLAN Signature containing foreign currency.
