The reported losses from digital fraud from November 2024 to the end of 2025 are estimated at Rp9 trillion, with more than 411,000 reports. Fraud is viewed as having impacts beyond material loss, with security, reputation, and even life expectancy undermined. To prevent such fraud, a narrative exhibition titled ‘Faces of Fraud’ is being held. Through this initiative, five individuals behind digital fraud stories bravely share their experiences as part of a public education movement and a collective effort to eradicate digital fraud. Niki Luhur, Founder and Group CEO of VIDA, hopes that the experiences endured by these people end with them and are not repeated for more people. By opening a space for conversation in a more honest and humane way, Faces of Fraud also raises public awareness of fraud modalities that are becoming increasingly sophisticated, from psychological manipulation (social engineering) to account takeovers. “Each face in Faces of Fraud represents someone who once trusted the identity security system, but was not protected from the gaps that exist. Through this movement, we want to open the public’s eyes to the fact that the impact of digital fraud is not limited to financial losses, but also emotional wounds, loss of security, and lasting effects in daily life,” said Niki Luhur in a written statement on Tuesday, 19 April 2026.
