Dria Raba Foundation has released a documentary film titled ‘Imaji’, directed by Heri Windi Anggara. The film depicts the daily activities of a blind person named Lia.

Heri explained that the title ‘Imaji’ was chosen to convey to the public that blind individuals possess their own imagination within their minds.

“So there’s no big question mark, let’s keep it simple – this film is about imagination,” Heri said during a press conference at Stikom Bali on Saturday (30 May 2026).

Heri stated that the film’s production involved 30 blind individuals from Dria Raba Foundation, along with psychologists and neurologists.

“The challenge is that it’s a documentary, so we need patience. Patience to follow our friends, understand their lives, their struggles,” he explained.

Besides Lia, the film portrays the daily lives of blind individuals to show the public how they perceive the world through their own unique perspective.

Heri added that blind people see in ways that others cannot. “They are more unique because they perceive things differently. When we can see, we actually fail to see what is truly happening,” he said.

Ida Ayu Pradnyani Manthara, Chair of the Dria Raba Education Foundation, said the film was created to foster broader dialogue about disability and to highlight societal perceptions of disabled individuals. “This documentary aims to raise public awareness, promote inclusion, and provide a platform for blind people to share their own experiences and perspectives,” she added.
