Expand Market Reach as Bintang Toedjoe and Extrajoss Support Cap Go Meh Singkawang Festival
Jakarta, VIVA – PT Bintang Toedjoe, together with Extrajoss, is once again strengthening and expanding its market through a cultural event that targets a community segment, notably the Chinese community.
Entering its third year of supporting the Cap Go Meh celebrations, Extrajoss continues to demonstrate its commitment to accompanying Cap Go Meh Singkawang, while also strengthening its position as an energy drink that has become a favourite among the people of Singkawang.
Arwin Nugraha Hutasoit, Head of Marketing at PT Bintang Toedjoe, said that Extrajoss’s participation in the celebration carries meaning beyond merely being present at a cultural event.
“As a brand synonymous with energy and a spirit of resilience, Extrajoss wants its presence to be a symbol of support for the sense of togetherness that is growing in Singkawang,” he said in a statement on Thursday, 5 March 2026.
“Among other things by giving away Extrajoss for free to 20,000 spectators and the tatung community as a symbol of that spirit. Energy to stay optimistic amid challenges. Energy to maintain unity. Energy to keep moving forward together,” he added.
In Singkawang, the festival seems to remind us of one simple yet important thing: Indonesia always has room for living together. From this small city in West Kalimantan, that message feels tangible.
Through this momentum, Arwin, on behalf of Extrajoss, hopes that the spirit of tolerance and togetherness from Singkawang can inspire communities across the country.
For, in the face of any challenge, positive energy and mutual respect will always be the foundation of Indonesia. In Singkawang, Cap Go Meh is not just a celebration, but also a hope.
“About the belief that differences can walk side by side. And about the good energy that, if nurtured together, can strengthen the nation,” he said.
The appearance of influencer Bobon Santoso adds its own nuance to this year’s celebration. Known as the People’s Chef of Indonesia, Bobon has consistently highlighted cuisines from various regions as a simple yet powerful way to celebrate diversity.
For him, food always has an honest way of uniting people. At the Cap Go Meh moment in Singkawang, Bobon was not only present as a public figure, but also mingled and shared energy with the tatung community by distributing Extrajoss during the event.
