Examining the Performance Prospects of BSA Logistics Indonesia (WBSA) Post-IPO
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. The initial public offering (IPO) of PT BSA Logistics Indonesia Tbk (WBSA) was enveloped in market euphoria. For context, WBSA officially listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) today, Friday (10/4/2026). On its debut trading day, WBSA shares rose 34.52% to Rp 226 per share. This gain held steady until the end of trading today. WBSA became the first issuer to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2026. The company also recorded excess demand, or oversubscription, of 386.86 times. The IPO price for WBSA shares was Rp 168 per share, at the upper limit of the bookbuilding range of Rp 150–Rp 170 per share. At that price, the company raised fresh funds of Rp 302.4 billion through this corporate action. Reydi Octa, a capital market observer, stated that the oversubscription and auto rejection upper (ARA) on WBSA’s debut more reflect market euphoria and supply scarcity than pure fundamental strength. “Thus, the upward trend could continue in the short term due to momentum,” he told Kontan on Friday (10/4). From a business perspective, WBSA has an interesting story in logistics, which often experiences structural growth, especially as IPO funds are directed towards acquisitions and expansion that could accelerate growth. According to the prospectus, after deducting issuance costs, the majority of the IPO proceeds, amounting to Rp 215 billion, will be used to take over a company named PI Bermuda Inovasi Logistik (BIL). WBSA will purchase 191,250 shares of BIL from PT Bermuda Nusantara Logistik (BNL). This amount equates to 99.99% of BIL’s total placed and fully paid-up capital. The acquisition will be completed after fulfilling all Preliminary Conditions, at the latest 6 months from the end of the fiscal year on 31 December 2025. As a note, WBSA and BNL share the same ultimate beneficial owners, namely Andree and Edwin Wibowo, who currently also serve as President Commissioner and President Director of WBSA, respectively. “However, it should be noted that the valuation is already at a premium and there is a risk of concentration on major clients, thus limiting medium-term upside,” he said. According to Reydi, WBSA shares are attractive for short-term trading as long as the momentum persists. “But for investment, a deeper valuation is needed, particularly awaiting future financial report releases,” he explained.
