Event Support Vendors Association Strengthens Brotherhood Through Charity Distribution to Hundreds of Orphans and Islamic Students in Jakarta
Hundreds of entrepreneurs operating in the event support infrastructure sector (providing services such as tent rentals, sound systems, LED screens, and multimedia) gathered for the annual Joint Breaking of Fast (BUKBERGAB) 2026 at Menara 165 in South Jakarta. Beyond serving as a consolidation event for the creative industries, the gathering provided an opportunity to distribute aid to 100 orphans and Islamic students from various foundations across Jakarta.
This third-year event was initiated through collaboration between three major organisations: Rental Muslim Indonesia (RMI), the Indonesian Tent Rental Association (APERTI), and Rental Indonesia Event Support (RI).
RMI Chairman Hafid Kesuma Wardana emphasised that the meeting represented more than mere social courtesy, but rather an effort to strengthen synergy among entrepreneurs providing tent rental, sound system, LED screen, and multimedia services amid rapid growth in the national event industry.
“Praise be to God, we are grateful to gather together with fellow Muslim rental vendors in Indonesia. Hopefully we will become more unified and continue to work synergistically. We hope this programme becomes a legacy that continues annually,” Hafid stated on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
This year, assistance was provided to Islamic students and orphans supported by the Al Barkah Foundation, the Marhamatur Ridho Foundation, and the Al Hamd Islamic Boarding School for Quranic Memorisation. This step was taken as a demonstration of corporate social responsibility by entrepreneurs in the creative economy sector.
BUKBERGAB 2026 Committee Chairman Samsu Rahman explained that physical meetings between vendor owners are crucial given their high mobility in handling various major projects outside Ramadan.
“The primary objective is to build relationships with event vendors and entrepreneurs. Beyond that, we want to share our blessings with orphans in hopes of divine blessing. We also appreciate the sponsors who fully supported this event,” Samsu stated.
Similarly, other association leaders, APERTI Chairman Erwin Fikri and RI Chairman Risyad Fauzie, viewed cross-association collaboration as key to facing increasingly competitive industry dynamics. Through this consolidation, it is hoped that more professional service standards and healthy business competition based on a spirit of brotherhood will be created.
