Jakarta - The National Traffic Police Corps (Korlantas Polri) continues to optimize technology-based traffic monitoring. ETLE Drone Patrol Presisi units have been deployed along Jalan Gatot Subroto, Senopati, Gunawarman, Adityawarman, and TB Simatupang — key mobility corridors in the DKI Jakarta area. These five road sections are known as strategic routes connecting office centers, business districts, and access points to major transportation hubs in the capital.

The operation is carried out under the direction of National Traffic Police Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, with technical execution by the Korlantas Polri Law Enforcement Directorate (Ditgakkum) led by Brigadier General Faizal. Field-level technical control is handled by Korlantas Polri Law Enforcement Sub-directorate Head Commissioner Dwi Sumrahadi Rakhmanto, to ensure monitoring is conducted professionally, measurably, and in accordance with applicable legal provisions.

Drone operations are conducted in real time using unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with high-resolution cameras and an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system. From the air, the devices can comprehensively monitor traffic flow, objectively record violations, and accurately identify vehicle license plates without disrupting traffic below.

The types of violations monitored and processed through the ETLE system along the Gatot Subroto corridor include odd-even plate number restriction violations during enforcement hours, vehicles driving against traffic, motorcyclists not wearing SNI-certified helmets, and underage drivers, including students who do not yet possess a driver’s license.

Enforcement of these violations is based on the provisions of Law No. 22 of 2009 on Road Traffic and Transport, specifically Articles 106, 287, 291, and 281, as well as the odd-even traffic restriction regulations in effect in the DKI Jakarta area.

Every violation recorded by the ETLE Drone is subsequently integrated into the National ETLE system for vehicle identification, officer verification, and the electronic issuance of a violation confirmation letter to the vehicle owner. Aerial visual recordings serve as legally valid electronic evidence in the law enforcement process.

The National Traffic Police Chief emphasized that the presence of the ETLE Drone Patrol along the Gatot Subroto corridor is part of the police’s commitment to delivering modern and transparent traffic monitoring.

The Korlantas Polri Law Enforcement Director added that this aerial-based monitoring not only increases the effectiveness of law enforcement but also provides a strong preventive effect on the public.

With consistent and technology-based monitoring, it is hoped that road user compliance in the Gatot Subroto area will continue to improve, accident risks can be reduced, and a sustainable culture of orderly traffic is established in the heart of the capital.
