ETLE Drone Patrol Precisely Monitors Cikampek Toll Road on Day 2 of Operation Ketupat; Traffic Busy but Flowing
Police Traffic Corps Commander Irjen Agus Suryonugroho has announced that the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) continues to optimise digital technology to manage the public exodus during the mudik (return home) period. On Day 2 of Operation Ketupat 2026, Saturday 14 March, aerial monitoring via ETLE Drone Presisi has revealed traffic flow at several critical points on the Cikampek Toll Road remains busy but controlled.
Irjen Agus presented results from ETLE Drone Patrol Presisi monitoring at two main toll gates in the Cikampek area on Saturday evening, 14 March 2026. Footage shared shows traffic flowing smoothly despite congestion.
“Based on aerial monitoring through the ETLE Drone this evening, the situation at Kalihurip Gate (KM 68) and Cikatama I Gate (KM 70) is busy but remains flowing smoothly. Vehicle distribution continues normally without any queuing blocking the toll gates or main lanes,” said Irjen Agus.
Irjen Agus stated that the use of ETLE Drone Patrol Presisi is highly effective in assisting field personnel to take swift action should congestion occur.
“We can see the overall traffic dynamics. As soon as we detect potential congestion, officers are immediately directed to that location responsively,” he added.
Irjen Agus revealed that as of early Saturday morning, 459,570 vehicles had left the Jakarta area. The majority of vehicles were private cars heading towards Central and East Java via the Trans Java route.
Although the current situation remains controlled, Irjen Agus urged the public to remain vigilant given that approximately 3.2 million vehicles—around 76.9 per cent of the projected total exodus—have yet to depart Jakarta.
The peak return-home traffic is predicted to occur in mid-next week, between Wednesday 18 March and Friday 20 March. The public is encouraged to plan their travel times to avoid vehicle accumulation during this peak period.
Operation Ketupat 2026 continues through 25 March 2026 to ensure the safety and security of all road users. Irjen Agus stated that the Police and all stakeholders will continue providing the best service in accordance with the 2026 mudik tagline “Safe Exodus, Happy Families”.
