Jakarta - The Propam Division of the Indonesian National Police will hold an ethics hearing for the former Chief of Bima City Police, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, who is a suspect in a narcotics case. The hearing will take place at the Wabprof Bureau of the Propam Division of the Indonesian National Police.

“For AKBP DPK, he is currently undergoing the code of ethics process, scheduled for Thursday (19 February) to conduct the ethics hearing,” said the Head of Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, at National Police Headquarters on Sunday (15 February 2026).

Isir emphasised that the Indonesian National Police is committed to investigating this case thoroughly. The police will not hesitate to take action against narcotics abuse committed by their members.

“The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to not tolerating any form of narcotics and psychotropic abuse, whether carried out by the public or by internal members of the police,” he stated firmly.

Isir described the police’s efforts as proof that there is no safe haven for criminals. He assured that no special treatment will be given to members involved in narcotics cases.

“We assure that no special treatment is provided to any member of the Indonesian National Police or their families. Once again, the police leadership has been firm and guarantees that there is no impunity for personnel involved in narcotics networks,” he said.

“Rather, we apply stricter examination standards to uphold the institution’s dignity. This aligns with the instructions from police leadership to conduct consistent and ongoing internal clean-ups,” he added.

Previously, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police designated the former Chief of Bima City Police, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, as a suspect in the narcotics case. This followed a case review conducted by investigators.

“The result of the case review is to proceed with the investigation against AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro,” said the Director of Narcotics Crimes at the Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, to journalists on Friday evening (13 February).

Eko explained that during the case review, Didik was found guilty of possessing a white suitcase containing narcotics. The suitcase was discovered at the residence of Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten.

“On Wednesday (11 February) around 17:00 WIB, we received information that the Paminal at National Police Headquarters had secured AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro. During interrogation, it was revealed that there was a white suitcase belonging to AKBP Didik, suspected to contain narcotics, at the residence of Aipda Dianita,” Eko explained.

Investigators then secured the suitcase. Inside, they found 16.3 grams of crystal meth, 49 ecstasy pills and 2 used pills (23.5 grams), 19 Aprazolam pills, 2 Happy Five pills, and 5 grams of ketamine.

Based on these findings, Eko said that all participants in the review agreed to elevate Didik’s status to suspect.

“The review participants agreed to carry out the investigation process under Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 on criminal adjustments, and Article 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 on psychotropics, in conjunction with Appendix 1 number 9 of Law No. 1 of 2026 on criminal adjustments, against the suspect AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro,” Eko concluded.
