Entertainment hubs closed down

JAKARTA (JP): The City Public Order Office closed down temporarily three entertainment centers for violating New Year's eve regulation.

An official from the office, Toha Reno, said yesterday that the three entertainment centers are Bunny Scorpion bar on Jl. Garuda, Central Jakarta, Padussi Cafe in Kemang and Sari Laut Restaurant in Kuningan, both in South Jakarta.

Toha said that the three centers failed to get permits from the police, the city administration and social affairs' ministry for their shows.

Toha refused to say for how long the centers will be closed down.

He said the city administration had also warned six others for similar offenses.

A total of nine entertainment centers were caught without the special New Year's eve operating permit, violating opening hours or increasing their cover charges. (yns)
