As Lebaran 2026 Mudik period approaches, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) as the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) together with its subsidiary PT Hakaaston (HKA), are accelerating pavement maintenance on two vital sections of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS). The current maintenance focus is on the Terbanggi Besar–Kayu Agung Toll (Terpeka) and the Pekanbaru–Dumai Toll (Permai). This collaborative step has been taken to ensure road infrastructure remains reliable and safe, supporting smooth mobility for the public and the efficiency of national logistics distribution during the peak Lebaran period. Target completion by 10 March 2026. Hamdani, Acting EVP of Corporate Secretary at Hutama Karya, emphasised that physical works on the ground are being accelerated so as not to disrupt traffic flow as the holiday approaches. Maintenance at these points is targeted to be completed before 10 March 2026; the acceleration of maintenance is a step by the BUJT to uphold the standard of tol road service quality, said Hamdani on Saturday 7 March. Technically, the maintenance on the Permai Toll includes two critical points, namely from KM 49+250 to KM 49+200 and from KM 78+856 to KM 78+760. Meanwhile, for the Terpeka Toll Corridor, the work is carried out spread across several segments from KM 188+542.50 to KM 330+404.00 on Lane A. In line with this, HKA Operations Director Martin Nababan explained that early repairs are vital to minimise the risk of accidents caused by pavement damage on routes with high traffic volumes. “By focusing on the reliability of Permai and Terpeka toll roads, and by carrying out repairs earlier, road user safety is our primary priority,” said Martin. Hutama Karya apologised for potential traffic disruptions during works and urged road users to stay vigilant, observe work signs, and follow the directions of on-site staff. “If there are complaints or if further information is needed, road users can contact the call centres of each toll route or via Hutama Karya’s official toll road account @HutamaKaryaTollRoad,” he concluded. PT Hutama Karya (Persero) stated its readiness to operate Palembang–Betung Toll Road to support smooth Mudik and balik Lebaran in 2026. Up to June 2025 Hutama Karya had facilitated 792 MSMEs at 23 Rest Areas along JTTS. After completing duties in Aceh Tamiang, Hutama Karya is now focusing resources on East Aceh Regency to build Temporary Housing (Huntara). Cumulatively, total daily traffic on operating tol roads reached 136,612 vehicles, or 45.03% higher than normal traffic. Hutama Karya formally signed a contract for building the Central Medical Unit (CMU) building for RSUP Dr. Sardjito, Yogyakarta. The main focus of Hutama Karya is to deliver tangible benefits to the community, especially during high-traffic periods like year-end holidays or Idul Fitri. Hutama Karya is racing to complete the Betung – Tempino – Jambi Section 1 of JTTS, 62.4 km long.
