Ensuring Service Standards Are Met, Deputy Minister of PANRB Inspects Public Transport at Airports and Ports
Deputy Minister (Wamen) of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Purwadi Arianto, inspected the organisation of public transport services in the Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Tanjung Priok Port areas on Wednesday (18/3/2026). The inspection was conducted to ensure that public service standards during Eid run optimally, prioritising quality, effectiveness, and public satisfaction. Purwadi emphasised that public transport service providers at airports and ports must meet minimum service standards, covering aspects of security, safety, comfort, affordability, and punctuality. In addition, the professionalism of personnel in providing responsive, friendly, and integrity-driven services is also a key factor in realising excellent service. He added that strengthening coordination between agencies and intermodal transport integration continues to be promoted to guarantee smooth mudik and return flows, while minimising potential service disruptions. The inspection is part of strengthening oversight of bureaucratic reform implementation, particularly in the transportation sector as a strategic public service that directly interacts with the public. On that occasion, Purwadi inspected various modes of transport, including ticketing services, mass transport, and shuttles integrated with other transport systems. He stressed the importance of intermodal integration to support efficient and sustainable public mobility. “Public transport services at airports and ports are the first face of public services felt by the public. Therefore, their quality must be truly maintained,” said Purwadi. The inspection was also attended by Deputy Minister of Transportation (Wamenhub) Suntana, who ensured that all transportation services run safely, smoothly, and under control. Suntana stated that Eid al-Fitr is an important moment for the public to gather with their families.
