Bandung — PT Telkom Indonesia engaged 10,664 young digital talents in the Innovillage 2026 programme, which focuses on developing technology-based social innovations. According to Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, Director of Digital IT at PT Telkom Indonesia, speaking through Riza Rukmana, Vice President of Digital Business Strategy and Governance at Telkom Indonesia, the programme encourages students to develop ideas to implement digital solutions in society. “This year, Innovillage succeeded in involving 10,664 young digital talents,” Riza said. According to Riza, this year’s Innovillage recorded 1,281 certifications in student competency development and produced 878 innovations implemented in communities. The programme also reached 39,084 beneficiaries across 22 provinces in Indonesia. Riza said the innovations developed by students span inclusive education, food security, health, the environment, empowerment of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and women, and the utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. “TelkomGroup wants to ensure that digital transformation not only brings technological progress but also helps create a more inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable future for Indonesian society,” said Riza. Through the Bisa Pandai corporate social responsibility and environmental programme, Innovillage this year also hosted the Industrial & Social Innovation Ecosystem Forum 2026 as a cross-sector collaboration space. The forum involved various Telkom Group entities such as PT Telkom Indonesia, Telkomsel, and Telkom University, along with other strategic partners. Among the innovations recognised this year was SAVIA (Smart Aqua Village for Integrated Access), developed by students of IPB University, which provides a technology-based solution for clean water access in Sukaharja Village. In addition, i-Chat 2.0 uses AI to support inclusive education for teachers and students with disabilities. “Through Innovillage, TelkomGroup continues to open spaces for collaboration for the younger generation to create technology-based social innovations,” said Riza.
