Energy Minister Inaugurates Rilke Jeffri Huwae as Director General of Law Enforcement at ESDM Ministry
AMBON — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia has inaugurated Rilke Jeffri Huwae as Director General of Law Enforcement at the ESDM Ministry. The inauguration took place in the Sarulla Room, Chairul Saleh Building, at the ESDM Ministry offices in Jakarta on Wednesday (25/6/2025).
Rilke previously served as Expert Staff for Priority Investment Sector Development at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM. His appointment forms part of the ESDM Ministry's efforts to strengthen law enforcement in the energy and mineral resources sector.
Rilke Jeffri Huwae was born in Masohi, Central Maluku Regency, on 14 February 1970. He began his career as a State Attorney and held various strategic positions within the Attorney General's Office, including serving as Head of the District Attorney's Office in several regions.
He previously served as Head of the Fak-Fak District Attorney's Office (2014–2017), Head of the Bangka District Attorney's Office (2017–2019), Assistant for Civil and State Administrative Affairs at the North Maluku High Prosecutor's Office (2019–2020), and Head of the Ternate District Attorney's Office (2020–2021).
In 2021, he embarked on a new career path at the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) as Head of the Legal Bureau. Since June 2024, Rilke was entrusted with a new position at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM as Expert Staff for Priority Investment Sector Development.
Huwae completed his education at SD Negeri 2 Ambon (1982), SMPN 4 Ambon (1985), SMAN 1 Ambon (1988), a law degree from the Faculty of Law at Pattimura University Ambon (1993), a Master's programme at the IBLAM College of Law (2004), and a Doctoral programme at the Faculty of Law, Jayabaya University (2024).
