Emirates Bali–Dubai flights resume after suspension over Iran–US–Israel conflict
KOMPAS.com - Emirates has resumed Bali–Dubai flights since Friday (5 March 2026) after the service was suspended when Dubai airport closed. ‘On Friday afternoon, Ngurah Rai Airport hosted Emirates EK368 from Dubai. An Airbus A380 landed in Bali at 16:30,’ said Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Head of Communications and Legal Affairs at the airport, quoted by Antara, on Sunday (8 March 2026). Asmadi said the Emirates aircraft had spent the night at Ngurah Rai Airport since 28 February. The service marks Emirates’ first Denpasar–Dubai flight since the airspace disruption triggered by the Middle East conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. Not only departures, but international arrivals from Dubai to Bali have also resumed. The airport management continues to coordinate with affected airlines, as not all Middle East routes have returned to normal operations. The suspensions affected several Middle East carriers, including Qatar Airways on the Doha–Denpasar route, Emirates on the Dubai–Denpasar service, and Etihad Airways on the Abu Dhabi–Denpasar flight. The disruption impacted 8,187 passengers scheduled to depart from Bali International Airport. Asmadi said passengers had been assisted in line with each airline policy, including rebooking and travel arrangements. At present, four aircraft from three airlines remain parked at the airport as part of operational adjustments. ‘We have also prepared help desks for airlines and are coordinating with the Immigration Office to provide immigration service counters to process Emergency Residence Permits (ITKT) for affected passengers,’ Asmadi said. Airport authorities urged passengers to remain in contact with their airlines for the latest flight schedules and travel arrangements as services continue to return to normal.
