Eight missing in plane crash
BAGUIO, Philippines (AFP): A small plane crashed in the northern Philippines early on Wednesday and all eight people on board are missing, a military source here said.
The wreckage of the King Air plane was found in the village of Luboluban near the town of Cervantes, said an air force source who asked not to be named.
The source said no bodies were found among the wreckage of the plane, owned by Lepanto Consolidated Mining Co.
The plane took off from a government airstrip at Poro Point on Wednesday morning with several foreign consultants of unspecified nationalities. It then failed to arrive at its destination at the Lepanto airstrip in the mining town of Mankayan.
