Eid and Nyepi Holiday 2026: InJourney Hotel Occupancy Projected to Rise 10 Per Cent
PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (InJourney Hospitality) is projecting an increase in hotel occupancy of up to 10 per cent during the peak season of the Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi 2026 holidays. InJourney Hospitality’s Commercial Director Veronica H Sisilia stated that the momentum of Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi is regarded as an important catalyst for the growth of the national tourism sector.
“InJourney provides a seamless experience for travellers from upstream to downstream, starting from the airport, hotels, to destinations, so that holiday travel becomes more comfortable and integrated,” said Veronica in Jakarta on Monday (9 March 2026).
Veronica noted that the government’s Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy also presents a positive opportunity to ease the density of homecoming traffic whilst encouraging the public to enjoy longer holiday periods. This has a positive impact on the national hotel and tourism industry.
InJourney, Veronica continued, has prepared various holiday programmes. She stated that InJourney has various assets and touchpoints that represent Indonesia’s wealth, ranging from heritage and culture to authentic local traditions.
“This uniqueness distinguishes our destinations and assets from other destinations, and is also a key strength in delivering tourism experiences that are not only memorable but also rich in Indonesian cultural value,” said Veronica.
InJourney Hospitality Chief Executive Officer Christine Hutabarat stated that InJourney Hospitality has anticipated the surge in occupancy levels by ensuring service quality and customer experience remain maintained across all managed properties. During the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr holiday periods, InJourney Hospitality implements a series of strategic measures through the “Together Creating Meaningful Ramadan” programme.
“Average occupancy levels are estimated to increase by 10 per cent compared to the previous year, a positive signal for Indonesia’s tourism sector,” said Christine.
Christine noted that occupancy projections demonstrate an upward trend across all InJourney Hospitality hotel categories. Based on hotel cluster regions, the Bali cluster showed the best performance with an occupancy rate of 64 per cent, followed by the Java cluster at 53 per cent and the Sumatra cluster at 45 per cent. There are also Kalimantan and Sulawesi clusters.
“InJourney Hospitality is committed to delivering the best service with the distinctive hospitality touch of Indonesia at every touchpoint,” said Christine.
