Educational town

The educational town of Jatinangor, Sumedang, West Java is
growing and developing rapidly. This is evident by the
flourishing higher educational institutions in the region,
expansion of the industrial area, construction of various public
facilities and establishment of housing complexes. This in turn
will increase the revenue of the local government.

Follow-up measures that should be taken to support the growth
are, among other things:

* The construction of shopping centers, a bus terminal and
town transportation network.

* The road that links Cikuda and Cibeusi (at the borderline
between Sumedang and Bandung regencies) should be widened and
proper pavements and sufficient illumination should be provided.

* A toll road should be built to ease the traffic congestion
which usually occurs between Cileunyi and Tanjungsari.

The development program above is by no means a luxury but is
needed for an increasingly growing area which in future will
attract investors to participate in its development plan.
