Jakarta – The Indonesian Tax Consultants Association (IKPI) has stated that proper educational and advisory approaches will directly impact the optimisation of state revenue from the tax sector.

“Tax consultants are not merely advisors to taxpayers, but also strategic partners to the state in enhancing compliance and reporting quality,” said IKPI Chairman Vaudy Starworld in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

Vaudy emphasised that IKPI, as a professional organisation, plays an important role in bridging tax authorities and taxpayers.

According to him, increasing voluntary compliance has become key to maintaining the sustainability of state revenue.

“IKPI reaffirms its commitment to continue collaborating with the government in creating a healthy, transparent, and fair tax ecosystem,” said Vaudy alongside IKPI’s Central Board members during an audience with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Vice President’s Palace on Friday (27 February).

The meeting served as a strategic opportunity to discuss various national taxation issues and the contribution of the tax consultant profession in supporting state revenue.

Twelve IKPI central board members were present and received directly by the Vice President. During the dialogue, IKPI presented views and recommendations regarding tax compliance challenges amid economic dynamics and transformation of the tax administration system.

Vaudy affirmed that IKPI is ready to actively contribute to efforts to increase the tax ratio and strengthen the foundation of state revenue.

This audience also confirmed IKPI’s position as a professional organisation that is not only focused on member interests, but also bears moral responsibility in supporting fiscal stability and national development.

With increasingly close collaboration between the government and the profession, IKPI is optimistic that the role of tax consultants will become increasingly strategic in driving compliance and economic growth in Indonesia.
