The Government of East Kalimantan Province continues to consistently implement interventions to ensure no child in the region is forced to drop out of school. Samarinda (ANTARA) - East Kalimantan Province has successfully achieved first place nationally for the gross participation rate (APK) in secondary education with a fantastic achievement of 99.59 per cent. “This extraordinary achievement is concrete proof of the provincial government’s strong commitment to realising equitable education,” said Acting Head of the East Kalimantan Education and Culture Office, Armin, in Samarinda on Sunday. Armin revealed that this success proves that almost all secondary school-age children in the Benua Etam region now have maximum access to education rights. “This top position surpasses two other great provinces that have consistently been at the top, namely the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Aceh,” said Armin. The Government of East Kalimantan Province continues to consistently carry out intervention efforts so that no more children in the region are forced to drop out of school. “This equitable access to education also serves as a step to open the way for the local young generation towards a much brighter future,” Armin stated. According to him, this high school participation also serves as an indicator of the readiness of East Kalimantan’s human resources to compete competitively at the global level. Armin hopes that East Kalimantan’s achievement, which exceeds the national average, can serve as inspiration and motivation for other regions. In the future, the local government’s focus will continue to be driven not only on expanding the quantity of access but also touching on improving the quality and standards of learning. The East Kalimantan Education and Culture Office invites the community to continue enhancing the spirit of education for children in order to create an excellent, resilient, and competitive next generation. “Improving human resource quality through equitable education pathways is the most fundamental foundation in welcoming the grand vision of realising Golden Indonesia 2045,” Armin concluded.
