Earthquake felt in Bengkulu

BENGKULU, Bengkulu: A powerful earthquake shook two regencies in the Bengkulu province on Sunday shortly before midnight, but there were no reports of casualties.

The local Meteorology and Geophysics agency said the tremor measured 6.3 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was about 15 kilometers east of the Enggano island off Sumatra.

The tremor was felt in Bengkulu and Rejang Lebong regencies. (emb)
