Dutch man dead in hotel

JAKARTA (JP): A 64-year-old Dutch man died in an East Jakarta
hotel room on Sunday, police said yesterday.

John Japper died on Sunday night of a heart attack in room
number 101 of a hotel on Jl. Jatinegara Barat, police sources
said.

A female Indonesian companion was reportedly in the hotel with
the Dutch man at the time of his death.

The officer said that Japper had come to Indonesia with his
sister and brother-in-law to visit relatives in Maluku.

The hotel's public relations manager could not be contacted
yesterday for comment. (05)
