During Mudik Season, Ineu Purwadewi Sundari Urges Optimisation of Motor Vehicle Tax
West Java Provincial Parliament member Dr Ineu Purwadewi Sundari has emphasised the importance of service readiness to the public, particularly during the mudik (homecoming) and Eid al-Fitr holiday periods.
This period is typically marked by a surge in vehicle mobility, presenting both an opportunity and a challenge to increase taxpayer compliance.
“This condition must be utilised optimally. We need to ensure service at the Regional Revenue Management Centre remains fast, orderly, and comfortable for the public, so they are more motivated to fulfil their tax obligations,” said the Commission III member during a working visit to the Purwakarta Regional Revenue Management Centre (P3DW) on Monday, 16 March.
The visit aimed to discuss regional revenue targets for 2026, with particular focus on the motor vehicle tax (PKB) sector as a major contributor to West Java Province’s Own-Source Revenue (PAD).
The West Java Provincial Parliament’s Commission III also encouraged strengthening service innovation and optimising digital systems at the P3DW. With ease of access through online platforms, such as digital tax payment or integrated services, it is hoped that the tax compliance process will become more efficient.
“This not only increases realisation of revenue targets, but also contributes directly to infrastructure development and public services in West Java,” said the Chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Parliamentary Faction.
This working visit is part of the West Java Provincial Parliament’s supervisory function over regional revenue partners, to ensure PAD targets can be achieved sustainably without compromising the comfort of service users.
