Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Thousand Islands Civil Registry and Civil Status Sub-Department (Dukcapil) held an outreach service for civil registration administration on Pulau Sabira, the outermost island of DKI Jakarta Province, to ensure residents continue to receive optimal access to civil document services.

“This activity is carried out to ensure that the community on the outermost islands of DKI Jakarta still receives optimal civil registration administration services,” said the Head of the DKI Jakarta Dukcapil Department, Denny Wahyu Hariyanto, in Jakarta on Friday.

He stated that civil registration administration services must be accessible to all Jakarta residents without exception, including those in the outermost island areas. According to him, the state must be present to serve all citizens, including those on the outermost islands.

“Therefore, we ensure that civil registration administration services remain easily accessible to the people of Pulau Sabira,” he said.

According to him, this outreach service is a form of commitment from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in providing prime services while increasing public awareness of the importance of civil registration compliance.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Thousand Islands Dukcapil Sub-Department, Raditya Wirawan, explained that they provided various civil registration administration services.

Starting from the recording and printing of electronic ID cards (KTP), Child Identity Cards (KIA), Family Cards (KK), civil status certificates, to the activation of Digital Population Identity (IKD).

“Today, we are present on Pulau Sabira to ensure residents receive the same civil registration administration service rights as those in the city centre,” he said.

He added that, in addition to on-site services, officers also conducted door-to-door IKD activations at residents’ homes.

He further noted that the activity also included civil registration administration education through a guest teacher programme for students at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 02 Pulau Sabira.

“We want to instil understanding from an early age in the younger generation that population documents are a key to accessing public services, education, and social protection in the future,” he said.

He mentioned that during the outreach service on Pulau Sabira, the Thousand Islands Dukcapil Sub-Department successfully served 113 civil registration administration services.

The services provided consisted of five Family Cards (KK), one death certificate, 38 Child Identity Cards (KIA), 10 electronic ID cards, 55 IKD activations, three electronic ID card recordings for 16-year-olds, and one out-of-DKI Jakarta relocation service.

The Thousand Islands Dukcapil Sub-Department also carried out monitoring and evaluation (monev) of the Dukcapil service point in Pulau Panggang Sub-District to ensure all service aspects run optimally.

“On the second day, monev of the service point was also conducted in Pulau Kelapa Sub-District and Pulau Pramuka Sub-District,” he said.
