Jakarta, VIVA — An alleged drug dealer linked to the Koko Erwin network, A. Hamid, known as Boy, has admitted to transferring Rp1.6 billion to the former Head of Narcotics at Bima City Police (AKP Malaungi).

“From the initial interrogation, Boy has confessed to transferring Rp1.6 billion over the period of May–September 2025 to AKP Malaungi,” stated the Director of Narcotics Crime at the Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Bureau (Bareskrim Polri), Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

He explained that Boy made these payments to secure protection for the distribution of methamphetamine in the Bima region of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Eko revealed that the Rp1.6 billion was handed to Malaungi in five separate instalments. The breakdown is as follows:

  1. The first instalment of Rp400 million was wrapped in black plastic and placed in front of the Narcotics Unit office of Bima City Police;

  2. The second instalment of Rp400 million, wrapped in black plastic, was handed over when Boy met Malaungi at Lamboade Gym and placed the money in Malaungi’s car;

  3. The third instalment of Rp400 million, wrapped in black plastic, was placed in front of the Narcotics Unit office of Bima City Police;

  4. The fourth instalment of Rp200 million, wrapped in black plastic, was placed by Boy behind Malaungi’s quarters;

  5. The fifth instalment of Rp200 million, wrapped in black plastic, was handed directly to Malaungi on the roadside in front of a hotel.

Boy, who was listed as a wanted person, was successfully apprehended in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. After his arrest, Boy was brought to the Bareskrim Polri headquarters in Jakarta for questioning and will be transferred to the West Nusa Tenggara Police headquarters.
