This fact adds to the list of violations in the incident that went viral on social media. Moreover, from preliminary investigation, Hafiz claimed he was merely going for a drive to Ancol. He and a woman believed to be his girlfriend reportedly departed from Karawang.
For context, the reckless actions of the Toyota Calya driver with licence plate D 1640 AHB in the Jalan Gunung Sahari area, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, went viral on social media. The vehicle travelled the wrong way, triggering commotion and resulting in a mob attack.
