Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) will hold the 19th Plenary Session of the DPR RI for the 2025-2026 legislative year at the parliament complex, to be attended in person by President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday. According to the DPR RI agenda, the plenary session will start at 10.00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The President will deliver the Macro-Economic Framework and the Key Policy Principles of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF). The Speaker of the DPR RI, namely Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and Deputy Speaker Saan Mustopa, had confirmed the President’s attendance on Tuesday (19/5). In addition to the President’s delivery of the KEM-PPKF, the plenary will include a report by the Legislative Body on the Evaluation of the Second Amendment to the Prolegnas Priority List of Bills for 2026, followed by a decision. Then, the agenda will include the factions’ opinions on the Draft Law proposed by Commission III regarding amendments to Law Number 2 of 2002 on the Indonesian National Police, followed by a decision to convert it into a DPR RI-proposed Bill. Previously, the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who is also the President’s spokesperson, explained that President Prabowo will deliver directly the Macro-Economic Framework and the Key Policy Principles of Fiscal Policy for the 2027 RAPBN at the DPR RI plenary to align views and unite the strength. ‘Inshallah (the President) will be present. Coincidentally (Wednesday) falls on the 20th, National Awakening Day. So, the President wants to use the momentum to once again unite our views and strength as one nation, especially in carrying out the task of safeguarding our nation’s economy,’ Prasetyo said in response to reporters’ questions when contacted in Jakarta on Tuesday (19/5).
