DPR Secretariat Prepares Support Team for 2026 Hajj Oversight Committee
The Secretariat General (Setjen) of the DPR RI held a coordination meeting for the support team of the DPR RI Hajj Oversight Committee (Timwas) for 2026 to ensure that all aspects of readiness proceed optimally. The meeting emphasised the importance of readiness in human resources, facilities and infrastructure, as well as coordination of activities both domestically and internationally. Deputy for Administration of the DPR RI Setjen, Rahmad Budiaji, stated that based on reports received, the entire support team is ready to carry out their duties according to the established schedule. “From the perspective of human resources, facilities and infrastructure, as well as activity agendas, everything is ready. However, it must be emphasised that this task is not to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, but to support the duties of the DPR RI Hajj Oversight Committee,” said Rahmad at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/4). He also reminded the entire team to work promptly and responsively. According to him, the organisation of Hajj is a major activity that must be viewed as having high urgency. “Do not regard this as an ordinary activity. Hajj is an extraordinary activity that must be handled with the highest seriousness, as if in a crisis situation, so that all problems can be anticipated and addressed quickly,” he stressed. Rahmad is optimistic that all involved elements, from Commission VIII, protocol, media, health personnel, to other support elements, are capable of working as a solid unified team in supporting the DPR RI oversight duties. On the same occasion, Deputy for Sessions of the DPR RI Setjen, Suprihartini, emphasised the importance of maintaining health and team cohesion during the execution of duties. “We hope the entire team can carry out their duties to the best of their ability. Maintain health, do not let the support team fall ill instead. In addition, cohesion and good communication are the main keys,” she said. She also reminded all team members to set aside sectoral egos and prioritise collective work. “Do not view tasks sectorally. Protocol is not just the duty of the protocol team, but a shared responsibility. We are all one team that must support each other,” she concluded.
