Dozens of motorcyclists travelling from the Jabodetabek region via the North Coast route stopped in Brebes to participate in a free valet and ride mudik service initiated by the Central Java Police (Jateng).

The participants were dispatched from the initial point at the Nasmoco Dealer Grounds in Klampok Village, Wanasari District, Brebes Regency, and proceeded to Semarang on Friday, 13 March 2026 in the afternoon.

The free homecoming passengers were officially dispatched by the Deputy Chief of Central Java Police, Brigadier General Latif Usman. They were transported by bus, whilst their motorcycles were conveyed by truck.

Latif Usman stated that at least 90 homecomers had registered to participate in the valet and ride service. For the inaugural departure, 22 homecomers participated, though a total of 90 participants would engage in the valet and ride on the first day, he explained after dispatching the group.

Latif Usman noted that this valet and ride mudik service represented Central Java Police’s readiness in welcoming returning homecomers. Their motorcycles were transported via truck.

“This reflects Central Java Police’s preparation to facilitate the homecoming traffic flow whilst providing convenience for the community,” Latif Usman stated.

Latif Usman indicated that Brebes represented a fatigue point for homecomers from the Jabodetabek direction, making the journey hazardous for accidents.

“Brebes is a fatigue zone in Central Java; travelling by motorcycle from this point is quite risky to continue the journey. The distance from Brebes to Semarang is approximately two hours, so it poses considerable danger to riders and homecomers,” he explained.

The Brebes Police Chief, Senior Captain Lilik Ardiansyah, stated that the valet and ride service would operate from 13 to 19 March 2026. Departures were divided into three batches at 10:00, 14:00 and 16:00 Western Indonesian Time.

“For homecomers waiting and registering, we have also prepared facilities within the Integrated Valet Ride Post, including free health checks, children’s play areas, massage chairs and many other amenities,” Lilik explained.

The participants consisted of a combination of members from Military Command 0713 Brebes, Brebes Police, Civil Service Police, and officers from the Environmental Affairs and Waste Management Agency (DLHPS) of Brebes Regency.
