Dozens of CCTV Cameras in Depok Repaired to Enable Real-Time Monitoring
Depok, KOMPAS.com - A total of 63 CCTV camera points scattered across various areas of Depok are still being repaired so they can be accessed and monitored in real time by the public through a service app named Depok Single Windows (DSW).
“Indeed we are in the process of replacing infrastructure. Because of that, the CCTV, we are currently chasing the infrastructure at the local government units first, such as at the kelurahan level,” Denhas Ary Wibowo, Head of Aptika, Diskominfo Depok, told Kompas.com on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
“This phase will change the IP address before later the CCTV cameras will be integrated into the DSW application.
“This process is what makes the display in the DSW app still show CCTV cameras as green and red.
“The process is to replace the CCTV infrastructure; after that, the IP address changes, then the integration into the DSW. So there are two processes to ensure these points can be turned on.”
Denhas ensured that all CCTV cameras currently can record well, but cannot yet be monitored in real time by the public.
The red-point cameras are those not connected to the internet for integration and public access via the app.
“(Cameras) are on, just cannot be monitored from the DSW; but in the recording monitor there is indeed activity,” Denhas explained.
Based on Kompas.com’s check via the app on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, there are 18 green cameras and 45 cameras marked red.
The dozens of points are spread across various locations, mostly in the central area or around Margonda Raya.
When trying to open one green camera at the Parung Bingung junction, the current traffic conditions are displayed and show vehicles passing by.
However, the condition differs when trying to access a red camera, which shows “Failed to load data. Please try again later.”
