Don't abolish bemos

There are many types of public transportation in Jakarta --
city buses, bajajs, bemos, etc. The bemos are operated to cover
short as well as long distances. However the city administration
is planning to abolish these bemos. People like this type of
transportation because the passengers are limited so you aren't
packed together in the vehicle.

The public will miss the convenience of the short distance
ride if bemos are abolished. Besides, the bemo drivers will have
difficulty finding new jobs and thus the unemployment rate will
inevitably increase.

I hope the government will not abolish bemos because they are
still badly needed by the community.
