PT Sawit Mas Indonesia (Samasindo) is optimistic about increasing its crude palm oil (CPO) sales in 2026, in line with the continuing trend of growing domestic consumption and increasing production capacity.
Director of PT Sawit Mas Indonesia, Cheny Canliarta, stated that the company is targeting better CPO sales growth compared to the 2025 achievement.
“In 2026, we are more optimistic. We hope that CPO sales can grow better than in 2025,” said Cheny in a statement to the media, Wednesday (February 25).
This optimism is also supported by the target of increasing the utilization of the factory’s installed capacity. As of early 2026, Samasindo has an installed capacity of 60 tons per hour.
Management is targeting a capacity utilization rate of 90%-95% in the first half of 2026.
“Our target is to utilize around 90%-95% of the installed capacity by the first half of 2026,” said Cheny.
This step is a key strategy to boost production volume while maintaining operational efficiency amid fluctuating CPO prices.
Amid the fluctuating movement of CPO prices, Cheny believes that domestic demand remains stable and even tends to increase.
“Demand has not decreased. CPO prices are indeed up and down, but domestic demand tends to increase,” he explained.
Samasindo’s current sales focus is still dominated by the domestic market. About 90 percent of the company’s consumers come from the food sector, especially cooking oil producers.
This condition is in line with data from the Indonesian Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Association (Gapki). Throughout January-October 2025, domestic CPO consumption was recorded at 20.69 million tons, up about 5 percent compared to the same period in 2024, which was 19.64 million tons.
Of the total consumption, the biodiesel sector was the largest absorber with 10.61 million tons. Followed by the food sector of 8.20 million tons and oleochemicals of 1.87 million tons.
On the other hand, the performance of Indonesian palm oil exports also shows a positive trend. Throughout January-October 2026, exports were recorded at 27.69 million tons, an increase compared to the same period in 2024, which reached 24.84 million tons.
This condition shows that the national palm oil industry still has strong competitiveness in the global market, while being supported by a solid domestic market.
As a company established in December 2024, Samasindo is engaged in the trading of CPO. The company buys fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from farmers and then processes them into CPO.
With a strategy of optimizing capacity and focusing on the growing domestic market, Samasindo positions 2026 as a year of business acceleration amid the dynamics of the national palm oil industry. (Z-10)
